Artavious Smith, better know by Tay Dizm, is a member of the Nappy Boy family and CEO of Nappy Boy Digital. The Florida native learn how to rap as young age with his brothers who also helped him with recording mixtapes. He moved to Tallahasee, Florida, where he met T-Pain at a club on a dance battle. He became Pain's hypeman and appeared as guest on tracks from T-Pain's three first albums. Dizm is the first artist to release an album under T-Pain's Nappy Boy Digital label. Dizm released his first single, "Beam Me Up", featuring Pain and Rick Ross, which was released online via NBD and it quickly sold 4,000 downloads. The second single was "Dream Girl" ft Akon and charted on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart in February 2009. The album contains a third single, "Nothing But the The Truth, ft The Late Dolla & Picallo. Dizm's upcoming album wil be titled Welcome to the New World. His last mixtape TYFBF (Thank You For Being A Friend) received 5 stars on "datpiff.com" and it was well received by the fans. And as a fan, in my opinion the mixtape could be an album, Dizm is always bringing that Florida vibe, a relaxing beat and sentimental lyrics on this RnB tracks, and just straight fire on his rap tracks.
